H NMR Spectroscopy with Multivariate Statistical Analysis as a Tool for a Rapid Screening of the Molecular Changes Occurring During Micro- Oxygenation of an Italian Red Wine
نویسنده
چکیده
A red wine from Aglianico vine was subjected to a micro-oxygenation procedure for five weeks. The wine was weekly sampled together with a non micro-oxygenated control and extracted with di-ethyl-ether in order to simplify NMR analyses. In fact, 1 H NMR spectra of the whole wine samples were dominated by water and ethanol signals which prevented visibility of the resonances generated by the less concentrated wine components. The 1 H NMR analyses of the diethyl-ether extracts revealed an increase of the amount of oxygen-containing materials. Such increase was attributed to a wine ageing process which resulted, hence, fastened by application of micro-oxygenation.

NMR spectroscopy evaluation of direct relationship between soils and molecular composition of red wines from Aglianico grapes.
(1)H NMR spectroscopy was employed to investigate the molecular quality of Aglianico red wines from the Campania region of Italy. The wines were obtained from three different Aglianico vineyards characterized by different microclimatic and pedological properties. In order to reach an objective evaluation of "terroir" influence on wine quality, grapes were subjected to the same winemaking proced...

Photo-oxidative stability of a series of most common red acrylic paints has been investigated. The paints in question were carmine, quinacridone scarlet, alizarin crimson, brilliant red, vermilion and cadmium red hue. Structural changes, discoloration and weight loss of paints film subjected to UV irradiation in an accelerated ageing chamber were measured using FT-IR spectroscopy, colorimetry a...

Natural products provide excellent potential leads for drug development because of their chemical diversity and biological functionality. However, the productivity of discovery of new, pharmacologically active natural products has traditionally been low due to inherent difficulties and costs associated with extract dereplication, i.e., isolation, purification and structure elucidation of indivi...
